Ken Juran, P.E.
Kenneth serves as a Consulting Engineer for Sierra Pine Resources International. He has over 40 years of international oil and gas experience, working in a variety of reservoir, production, facilities, and operations engineering roles.
Before joining Sierra Pine, Kenneth held positions at several companies, in varying disciplines; most recently at BP America.
Prior to working at BP, Kenneth served as the Development Manager for ARCO/Union Texas Azerbaijan. He also worked as the Technical Services Manager for Union Texas Pakistan. During his time with ARCO/Unition Texas, he evaluated several properties for acquisition or divestment and served as engineering lead on multiple international reconnaissance teams.
Before Union Texas, Kenneth was the Staff Petroleum Engineer and Lead Facilities Engineer for Petro-Lewis Corporation. While at Petro-Lewis, he provided expert witness testimony for a hearing held by the North Dakota Industrial Commission.
At the beginning of his career, Kenneth worked as a Natural Gas Engineer for Texaco, where he received a patent for inventing a reciprocating gas compressor control scheme.
He has provided expert witness testimony for a Texas Railroad Commission Standing Hearing, receiving a favorable ruling by the Examiners.
Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Texas.
